Recess Time - January 5

Hi, Boys and Girls-Welcome to January 5. Today I have a fun thing for you to draw. Sometimes we do not try to draw something because it looks too hard. Well, if you break a picture up into just a few lines, it becomes easier to draw just like breaking up a word into chocolate chunks helps you to read it more easily (ee zuh lee). By the way, chocolate chunks are what I call the pieces of words. If a word is too big for me I always break it up into smaller words or pieces. That way it is not so hard.

Anyway, I would like you to draw a penguin today and Mr. Perfectly Perky Penguin is all broken up into lines so he will be easy for you to draw. Try him and let me know how you did. (jlresource@aol.com.)

I found this drawing in a book called Draw 50 Nifty Cartoon Characters. I found several I liked in this book so I will be sharing some more drawing fun with you on other days of the January Activities Calendar.
