Recess Time - January 7

Hi, Boys and Girls-Welcome to January 7. I want to tell you about a good book I just read. It is called Why Does It Snow? It is written by Chris Arevtis and Carole Palmer and illustrated by James Buckley. It is called a JUST ASK book and it is published by Rand McNally & Company.

All of their JUST ASK books tell you about how something works or how something is made or something like that. I think they are great. I really didn't know why it snows and now I do.

It all has to do with a cloud that is very high up in the sky and full of ice crystals. The ice crystals in the cloud get bigger and bigger and heavier too. When the crystals fall from the cloud, what they become all depends on how warm or cold the air is underneath the clouds. Read this book for yourself and learn the whole story about Why It Snows?
