RECESS - February 16

Hi, Boys and Girls-Hope you had a happy Valentine’s Day. Today is February 16 and I have a big word game for you today. Remember yesterday I told you about the Mother Goose book by Rosemary Wells? In nursery rhymes, many of the words sound alike or rhyme. We say a word rhymes when the ending sound is the same and the beginning sound is different. They don’t have to be spelled alike either. For example tree and flea rhyme or sound alike and they are spelled differently. Anyway, here is a game for you to play with rhyming (sound, not spelling) words. Some of the questions can have more than one right answer and you can email me your answers (jlresource@aol.com) if you want to do that. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy the game. I will see all of you tomorrow with some answers. Mrs. L.
