RECESS - February 19

Hi Boys and Girls. Today Mr. L and I traveled to Tahoe to go skiing. Do you think you could find Lake Tahoe on a map? It is in California, near Reno, Nevada.

On the way we went past Donner Lake. Long ago a pioneering party known as the Donner Party had to spend a brutal winter near this lake. Many of them died of cold and starvation. If you look between the trees, you can see the frozen lake.

A little later we arrived at our cabin. Can you believe that we get that much snow in California. Here is a picture of the cabin.
