RECESS - February 20

Hi, Boys and Girls. Today is February 20. Here we are at Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. They form much of the easterly boundary of California. If you still have your map out from yesterday, find them on the map.They are fairly high - as much as 11,000 ft. to 14,000 ft. Where we are is a little lower at 6,500 ft. I am sure you all know that "ft." is short for "feet". When people talk about feet, they mean feet above the level of the sea.

Well we are going skiing, so off we go! We will tell you all about it tomorrow.
