RECESS - March 28

Hi, Boys and Girls. Today is March 28 and I have one more dinosaur craft for us to do. This is like a potato print craft but I think potatoes are too hard to cut so I use a yellow ar crook neck squash. We are going to make a DINO PLACEMAT to use for home meals. Here we go:

What You Need:

1 yellow or crook neck squash from the store

A knife to cut it in half lengthwise (Have a grown up help you here.)

A piece of paper to use as the mat.

Some tempra paint any, any color

Your imagination

What To Do

Have your parents help you cut the squash in half lengthwise, not in half the short way. Look at the sliced half and think how a dinosaur footprint might look and cut the squash like that. Remember, you are not cutting out, you are cutting off. I would leave the crook on and cut off the round part at the back to make it look like a dino footprint. Pour a little paint in a saucer and dip the squash and print away. It might be fun to draw a border around your place mat too. You might also use the DRAW A DRAGON from March 25 for a decoration too.

It's also HARRY ELEPHANTE's birthday, so Happy Birthday Harry!!

Hope you enjoy your place mat. Mrs. L.
