My old
and always good and my kids always liked it is peanut butter and jelly. I
still make a pband j for my lunch sometimes and it is always sooo good. I like
all kinds of jams and marmalade and sometimes I sprinkle raisins on the peanut
butter just for something different.
Sliced
cheese (any kind from Swiss to soy cheese is great) and any kind of sliced
meat. My children used to like ham, roast beef, turkey, or just for something
different, pepperoni.
Anything
rolled up in a tortilla-My favorite is scrambled eggs and bacon left from
breakfast, rolled up and wrapped in tin foil. You can also use refried beans
and lettuce and cheese or really just about anything. If you don’t like
tortillas, roll something up on a lettuce leaf. Remember though to but some
ice cubes in a baggie to keep it fresh.
Something
in a cup-This means cottage cheese, yogurt, puddings or something you make. I
used to mix cottage cheese with apples and walnuts for my children and put it
in a recycled yogurt cup. Carrot and raisin salad, cole slow or anything you
make can be put in a plastic container or an old yogurt cup too.
All
fruits and raw vegetables are great in lunch. My daughter used to take left
over vegetables and mix them with a little vinegar and make a mini salad for
her lunch when she was in the eighth grade.
They
have lots of stuff now in bags and sealed containers but I don’t think they
are very good for you. It is more fun and you can have exactly what you like
if you just take a minute to make something up yourself.
