RECESS May 20

Hi, Boys and Girls-I have a great book to review for you today, May 20. It is called Gerda the Goose and it is written by Hiawyn Oram and illustrated by David Melling. It is about a goose who decides that she wants to go to the moon. The other geese tease her but she sets off anyway. She meets interesting characters along the way and helps them all with her good goose common sense. Finally she ends her trip to the moon at an observatory. She goes to the moon by looking at it on a telescope! She tells the other geese when she gets home but they don’t believe her so they all set off to see for themselves. Gerda doesn’t cart though. She simply uses the quiet time to work on her painting. This is such a cute book, and it has great pictures too. I really enjoyed it. See you tomorrow-Mrs. L.
