| RECESS May 21Hi, Boys and Girls-I have a fun little craft for you today, May 21. It is way to see how seeds grow. You need some birdseed that you can buy at pretty much any store. You can use anything to plant this little garden. You could cut the top off a ½ gallon milk carton, use a big plastic cup, or a Styrofoam cup. You might even want to decorate your cup and put your name in it. You could use some paper and glue out of your craft box. Put some soil in your container, add a bit of water to dampen it, then sprinkle the birdseed lightly on the soil. Cover the birdseed with just a very light layer of soil. Keep this moist, and by a sunny window. Soon you will see lots of green things coming up. How interesting! Email me when you start to see your sprouts! (jlresource@aol.com). See you tomorrow with some more riddles. Mrs. L.
