RECESS May 30

Hi, Boys and Girls-I have a craft for you today. I hope you have some old egg cartons in your Junk Box. If you don’t maybe your mom still has one in the recycle box. That is part of what you will need because today we are going to make a Crazy Snake. I found this craft on page 153 of the craft book Arts and Crafts For All Seasons published by The Education Center, Inc.

What You Need:

3 sections of an egg carton

a small bit of red paper

2 googly eyes or a black marker to draw the eyes

tempera paints and some brushes

white glue

What To Do:

Paint your carton with zig zag lines or stripes or dots to look like a snake. After it is dry, glue or draw on the eyes and glue the red paper on to the front to look like his forked tongue. You can make this craft over lots of times and make each snake different and play games with lots of snakes. You can also decorate your snake with markers if you do not have tempera.
