Recess Time

Here is your Daily Calendar:

Hi Boys and Girls-It’s Mrs. Lawrenson from the "Reading Room" here with you on our web site. As you can see, there are all sorts of new things on our site. One of the best new things, I think, is a monthly calendar that is going to be full of all kinds of neat activities and things to do. Just Click on the Day of the Month.  You can also look at the activities for days earlier in the month than to-day.

There is a new activity for each day.

Just click on the day in the calendar and have some fun.

It will have something different on it for every day so give it a try and let me know what you think by sending me an e-mail to JLResource@aol.com or message me in the bulletin board section. Also if there is a contest or something to send back you can do that through the e-mail post section too. I look forward to hearing from you and enjoy the calendar.

When you do a craft from the calendar it is a good idea to have an older person with you especially if you are using glue or scissors. If you are doing a recipe in the kitchen it is also a good idea to have a grown up with you. Kitchens are great fun but they can also have some dangerous (dane jer us) things in them so Be Careful.

Finally, before you start to do activities or crafts here is a suggestion to make things easier and more fun-start a junk or stuff box. Use anything you want, even a big brown box or grocery bag. Start a "stuff" collection (cul ekt shun) of things like pieces of cloth, cotton, buttons, scraps of paper, glue, scissors, crayons, markers, catalogs and magazines for pictures, used wrapping paper and ribbon, …. Boy-I guess just about anything should go in. You never know what cool stuff you might use for a craft or something. Start saving things and get ready for some fun. Tune in every day!
