I am Harry Elephante, The Hollywood Elephant, from "The Reading Room" television program. I am one of Mrs. L’s puppet friends. If you watch the program you will know that I help her teach a reading lesson, make lots of very funny jokes, and talk about words, letters and sounds. I guess you could say that I am kind of a teacher in a way.

As a television character I see and hear lots of things from Mrs. L. and from boys and girls, parents, and other people in education. I was thinking the other day that I might like to tell you about some of the things that I have learned and share some of the lessons and tips that we teach on the "Reading Room" show. Mrs. L. thought that was a great idea, so here I am! You will see my picture at the top of this section and at the end there is a cool picture of me for you to color.
