PIRATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA

Pirates often visited the Hilton Head Area. The east side of the Island is on Port Royal Sound, a famous port for ships from all over, including Pirates. On the other side of the Island is Savannah, Georgia.

Savannah has many old buildings. One of them is the Pirates House, built in 1753, long before the America Revolution. Savannah is mentioned many times in Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story, Treasure Island.
