HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Mrs. L is the host of the Reading Room and lives on an island called Hilton Head Island.

Look carefully at the Island, Don't you think it is shaped just like a foot?

Mrs. L just wrote an illustrated book about Pirates and Hilton Head Island called Petunia the Pirate of Port Royal Sound. Check it out.

There are Bald Eagles that live near our house. Mrs. L wrote a story about them that you can read.

There lots of fun things to do on the island like going to the beach, riding a bike, swimming, playing tennis, visiting Harbor Town, or going out in a boat to see the dolphins.

Long ago, Pirates used to sail their ships in Port Royal Sound next to Hilton Head Island.

Mrs. L's Television show is broadcast on Hilton Head Island by WHHI, Cable Channel 3.
