Book Review

Review:

Aida is a very famous opera. It has a story that is so complicated it is hard to follow. When I first saw it on stage I thought it was a glorious production with unbelievable costumes and sets and exotic scenery but I had a difficult time keeping up with the plot. Leontyne Price who is a famous and also very beautiful African-American opera singer, loves to perform the lead role in this opera. She wrote this story about the opera in a way that is very easy to understand. When I read the story on my show, my guests were two students who were members of a choir and who had sung in a small group of soloists. They really enjoyed the story because it was written by a woman who had actually performed in the opera. The pictures in this book are exotic and colorful. I hope you find them as beautiful as I did.
