Dear Boys and Girls,

You know we have lots of book reviews and information about all of the stories we read on the TV show, but this is something even better. I have a friend who used to be a teacher and her favorite thing to do was read stories to her students.

After she stopped being a teacher to have her own children, she continued to read stories to them. This makes her some kind of an expert, don't you think? Anyway, I asked her to share with you her list of the top fifty stories she loved to read to children. Here it is. I call it Mrs. Barney's Best. I know you will agree.

I suggest you download the list and take it with you to the library, or use it as a guide when you ask for a book for Christmas or your birthday. Also, if there is a Birthday Book Club at your school, donations from the list as your "Birthday Book" might be a good idea.
