Book Review
Play Ball, Amelia Bedelia
Written by
Peggy Parish and Illustrated by Walace Tripp
Review:
Have any of you read
any of the Amelia Bedelia books? Any of them are good starting places when you
are ready for chapter books. I just read Play Ball, Amelia Bedelia. It is sooo
funny. Amelia is walking home from the store and she sees some boys playing
ball. One of their players is sick and they will have to forfeit if they can’t
find another player. Well, guess who they get to play? Yes, you are right! The
only catch is, Amelia Bedelia does not know how to play baseball.
The book is a LEVEL 2
which means grades 1-3 but I think it is more for end of second to third grade.
If you read it let me know what you think. Tomorrow I will have a guessing game
from the book but you don’t have to read it to play the game. All you have to
do is know something about baseball. See you tomorrow-Mrs. L. (Play Ball, Amelia
Bedelia is written by Peggy Parish and illustrated by Wallace Tripp. It is
published by HarperCollins.)
