Review:
One morning Maxine Bunny
wakes up and her toes have something to say, "Time for new shoes!"
While Maxine’s Mommy is
getting dressed for the shopping fun, Maxine watches her favorite TV show about
Spunky Spaniel. Spunky Spaniel has on one red shoe and one blue shoe and HMMMMM
Maxine thinks she might like that too.
In the shoe
store, Maxine sings the Spaniel Song.
"Hello,
everybody, look at me.
I’m as
spunky as I can be!
My hat
is pink. I have one red shoe.
But isn’t
it funny-the other one’s blue!"
She pick
out some beautiful red shoes but she can’t have a red one and a blue one. Just
then her friend Arthur Alligator comes in and he picks out a blue pair. Can they
trade and each have one red and blue-No, Arthur Alligator has BIG feet. They do
something else though so that they both are happy. Can you guess what it is?
"Here
they are," said Mr. Muskrat. "Red shoes, size six."
Mr. Muskrat
put one shoe on Maxine’s foot. But before he could put the other shoe on,
Maxine said, "Now I need a blue one."
