Cooking With Children

Review:

Hi, Boys and Girls-I found the greatest book to share with you. It is a cookbook by Marion Cunningham. It is called Cooking With Children. It has 15 cooking lessons for children from around seven years old and up who really want to learn how to cook.

She gives good directions. Her text is well written and easy to understand, and the pictures are appropriate (uh pro pree ut) to the task and recipes. She tells you what tools you will use and how to measure too.

She gives you recipes for things to make out of fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of her good things are strawberry shortcake, pizza, dough and all, baking powder biscuits, and yummy popovers on page 61. Her vegetable soup is especially (ess pesh uh lee) tasty too.

The cost of the book is $21. This book would make a nice birthday present for a cousin or a good friend. You might just want to buy one for yourself too. It would be fun to help cook family dinners.
