Book Review
Review:
I
just bought the cutest Halloween story at a Book Faire. It is called "When
the Goblins Came Knocking" by Anna Grossnickle Hines. She is the
illustrator as well and the pictures are wonderful. Scroll down to see pictures
of the little children in their costumes. Mrs. Hines has also written some other
books-among them are "Big Like Me", and "What Joe Saw". She
has also illustrated some books written by her husband Gary.
In this
story, a little boy sees all of the children who come to his door to
Trick-Or-Treat and he is sooo scared that he hides, and finally even cries-but
wait ‘til next year and who do you think will have the scariest costume of
all? Well, I won’t tell-you have to read the book. (*Secret Message-many of
the words rhyme: tied, hide, cried, terrified.) Hope you like the book. Mrs. L.
