Hardy Boys
Books
Do you like to read books
with the same characters (KAR ick terz-people in a story)) in different settings
and with different things happening? I certainly do. When I was a girl I read
all of the "Black Stallion" stories because I loved horses. I also
read the "Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew" because I loved
mysteries, and I still do by the way. Come to this place on the READING ROOM web
site to find reviews of books in a series and lists of all of the available
stories. You can click on any title and order it through Amazon.com or Barnes
and Noble .com. ENJOY!
The Secret
Panel
by Franklin
W. Dixon

In this Hardy Boys
Mystery, Frank and Joe stop by the road to help a man who they later find out
has been dead for over five years! This is the start of a series of dangerous
situations and mystery clues that form their case. Mr. Hardy in the meantime, is
involved in a case on theft on a grand scale. Are the two mysteries related?
The man stopped by the
road came from the Mead Mansion, a house with no door locks, window hinges, or
key holes of any kind-or so it appears. Yes, as you can guess from the title,
the Mansion is full of trick openings, panels and secret clues. For a time the
boys and Chet are even trapped in a room that will open only by the use of a
huge magnet placed over the trap door.
Game
Plan For Disaster
by
Franklin W. Dixon

The Hardy boys are called
to State University to solve the mystery of who is trying to injure their star
football player. Part of the mystery, too, is why the player, Ace Harrison,
refuses to believe that someone is trying to harm him. As his body guards, the
boys move into the dorm but Ace won’t let them into his room, and twice they
cat h him making late night grocery store trips.
Two mean
guys are after a little boy, too. And what does the gold bug have to do with the
football game? The plot thickens as yet another known gambler kidnaps Ace. Ace
is also a brilliant student, but he is too brilliant for his own good as a
jealous professor attempts to commit a horrible crime on campus. This story has
lots of plots and lots of danger for Frank and Joe. Read it!
Read these
Hardy Boys stories to see if you would like to read more. I think if you are in
the third grade (and a really good reader) or higher, you will love these
stories. Stay tuned for more "Books In A Series" in the Reading Room.
