Book Review

Review:

"The Taleof Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter is what is called a classic. That means it is such a wonderful story that it will always be read and understood no matter what the time in history. It also means that it will be appreciated by all ages. Even your mom will think this is a great story. Peter, the naughty little rabbit, does not mind his mom and gets into all kinds of trouble. His cute little sisters are good girls and get a treat in the end. Peter, and all of the pictures and the whole story are so cute though, that you won't mind that he has a cold and gets no treat at the end. Read the story to find out how he catches his cold and looses his shoes and new jacket.

When I read the story on the air, I told the boys and girls that "tale" was a homophone. A Homophone is a word that has another word that sounds just like it but is spelled differently and means something different. The other "tail" might be on the end of a puppy. Do you understand this? If you do, send me some more honophones on the POST section of this site.
